As usual eleshop.nl being on top of my preferred suppliers. Now to the instrument.
The DHO804 being the smallest 4 CH version is quite capable and especially for data guys with a handfull of decoding options included and good triggering. Also the recording function is excellent and allows a lot of post capture analysis without offloading data to a PC. Formfactor is really cute and with an external capable powerbank can also be used as a portable DSO. Mind you, the 4 inputs are not isolated, so by no means a replacement for a proper field scopemeter. But then, they cost usually 5 to 10x times more with less capabilities. The UltraAcquire function is confusing and does not really serve that well. I wish it was a true segmented memory. It also does not allow further setting in this mode and trying to save data will not work. As it is with Rigol give it time (long time...) to wait for the FW to mature. It can take years though. Even though I am looking for another bigger DSO I will keep it for a specific purpose. I wish though it had a Windows trigger, which I consider very usefull. The FFT is fast but the color grading in FFT trying to mimic an average on FFT is very slow. Rigol could learn a thing from Siglent here. However in my use case and what I paid for it this is a keeper. Depending on the offer get this 70MHz version or go for the 100MHz version. But surely pick the 4 CH unit. It covers most of decoding options needed for serial interface buses without going the DHO900 route (I had that too, but never liked it really).
