Review

I need to desolder maybe 20 components per month so is not justified to spend more on a desoldering station than what the low-en model would cost. My problem was that the PCBs and components I desolder are large and can steal a lot of heat. I was concernet the station would not be powerful enough but this was not the case.
One thing I did not like at this station is the mechanism to release the glass cylinder. It does not go back enough, perhaps 2mm are missing and as a result you have to force the cylinder out and back in respectivelly. There is a silicone rubber to seal the cylinder and I feel everytime I take the cylinder out or put back in I scratch, scar, damage the real with the edge of the glass cylinder. I do not understand why they did not allow the piece in the back which presses on the cylinder to slide back 2 more milimeters to allow easy cylinder cleanup.
